Five micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nueva Ecija have qualified for the Manufacturing Productivity Extension or MPEX program of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

The firms include Lightburst Food Company located in Cuyapo, Potter’s Hand Agriculture Cooperative based in Lupao, and Bongabon Dairy Cooperative in Bongabon, which are all engaged in food; Rolly’s Furniture Shop in Guimba which is into woodworking and A.L. Esguerra Concrete Products and Construction Supply in Cabanatuan City.

As program beneficiaries, they will undergo a six-month consultancy service starting May to October 2022. Experts from different fields such as engineering, food science, and management will assess and provide solutions to technical issues faced by the firms in the course of conducting their business.

DOST Regional Office III, through its Technical Consultancy and Training (TCT) Unit have engaged GoAll Business Management Services to address the productivity and management concerns of the firms.

All five firms signed an agreement signifying their commitment to finish the six-month consultancy period.
