The municipality of Dona Remedious Trinidad (DRT) in Bulacan has been significantly making its name in the tourism industry scene and becoming a hotspot for tourists coming  to see the caves, waterfalls, and other natural wonders that abound in the area.

To take full advantage of the economic opportunities that the influx of visitors entail, the Department of Science and Technology III  through the Provincial S&T Office - Bulacan and in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of DRT through its Public Employment Service Office, conducted a two day  training on arts and crafts design making for souvenir items for members of the  Brgy. Talbak Verdivia Falls Tour Guides Association.

The training was provided by staff of Resins and Flowers Ph. Some of the items produced during the training were keychains, necklaces, ref magnets, displays, and other souvenir items out of resin incorporated with bamboo and  other readily available materials in the community.

Moreover, training kits, consisting of resins, molds, weighing scales, and other art materials, were provided to the group along with the other souvenir processing equipment. This activity was provided by DOST III under its Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) program and was  aimed to provide livelihood opportunities in the rural community and promote the emerging eco-tourism industry in DRT through art and souvenir making.
